Spec Banner Ad: ABC Toys Child Development

Client

ABC Toys is a fake company. In this context, ABC Toys offers children’s toys that foster intellectual growth.

Challenge

ABC Toys wanted to increase traffic to its website. However, the brand competes against many prominent players in its industry.

Prospective clients are parents ages 25–35 with children ages 6 months to 4 years. They are very concerned with developing their children’s minds as best they can.

The company decided to market its unique selling point through a banner ad. Since ABC Toys sells products that foster intellectual growth in children, the ad must portray playfulness and learning.

Solution

I created a three-frame banner ad with a graphic designer to communicate the relationship between toys and intellectual growth.

With banner ads, you have 2-3 seconds to grab your audience’s attention. Rather than marketing the toys directly, I focused on the product's educational benefits that resonate with young parents.

When parents see a message about their children learning through play, they are likelier to click the banner and explore ABC Toys' website to better understand the company.
